Rebekah Emanuel is Director of Social Entrepreneurship at Harvard. Based out of the Harvard Innovation Labs she advises entrepreneurs across all 13 Harvard schools. She is the founding Chair of the Harvard Climate Entrepreneur’s Circle, a joint initiative of HACE and Harvard innovation Labs with expertise from Harvard Business School’s Business and the Environment Initiative.



Emanuel is also the host of the HBS podcast Climate Rising, focusing on unexpected businesses from around the world that address climate change and create a profitable model while doing so. She has also served as the Executive Director of the first long term plan for the city of Boston in 50 years where she was responsible for integrating bold climate priorities for carbon neutrality and aggressive climate action.


Rebekah has been on the founding team of for-profits companies that are now household names, and helped stand up the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau for the US government after the 2008 mortgage crisis. She is Board Chair for Muso Health, credited by Reuters with achieving the fastest and steepest declines in child mortality documented worldwide. She started her career at McKinsey and Company. Rebekah Emanuel received her BA from Yale, and her MBA from Harvard Business School.
