Catarina Martinez

Catarina Martinez is an environmental planner and project manager based in Washington, D.C., where she works with BSC Group (based in New England) on projects related to climate adaptation and community resilience. She helps cities and regions think through practical ways to prepare for and respond to climate impacts, with a focus on solutions that work for the people who live there.

She grew up in Miami, Florida, where seeing the effects of coastal flooding firsthand sparked her interest in climate issues. Catarina graduated from Harvard College in 2016 and earned her Master of Environmental Management from Duke University in 2021, with a focus on environmental policy and economics.
