Trevor Thompson
Trevor’s areas of focus include climate and health, environmental and climate justice, equitable adaptation and resilience, and responsible finance. Currently, Trevor serves as Environment & Climate Director at an organization that supports under-resourced community development financial institutions (CDFIs) across the U.S., supporting CDFIs that focus on affordable housing, small businesses, and low-income communities. Prior to his current role, Trevor served as Program Officer and mission-aligned investments advisor at a family office, where he established and managed various portfolios in Just Transition, climate and health, and equitable adaptation and resilience. He also led initiatives to ensure that investments in the endowment and retirement plans were mission-aligned. Trevor has worked with frontline grassroots organizations from the Bronx to Alaska.
Trevor has experience with strategic foresight as a professional futurist, as well as management consulting. Trevor has served on multiple advisory boards and steering committees related to environmental justice, climate, investing, and philanthropy. Trevor has developed, supported, and co-led HACE events in NYC, as well as HACE events related to environmental justice, climate change and wine, climate-conscious retirement planning, and climate and health. Trevor earned his AB at Harvard College in Environmental Science and Public Policy, as well as an MBA and Master of Environmental Management (MEM) from Yale University.
