Ken Briigs
Ken Briggs is a founding member of Harvard Alumni for Climate and the Environment – Texas, and a graduate of the Harvard Extension School's Master of Liberal Arts program in International Relations. His graduate research focused on reshoring critical mineral and silicon supply chains for U.S. energy and national security.
Ken is an engineer, policy researcher, and consultant whose work bridges technical and policy domains across the energy transition. He holds a Professional Engineer license and is pursuing a PhD in Public Policy at the University of Texas at Austin, where his research focuses on the geopolitics of critical minerals and the energy transition. He also publishes Current History, an independent publication covering the intersection of history, policy, and technology.
A sixth-generation Texan, Ken brings both a deep connection to the state and a firsthand understanding of its outsized role in the energy landscape — making Texas a natural home for a HACE chapter. He is based in Dallas and can be reached at keb868@g.harvard.edu.
