Biotechnology with Climate Applications at Harvard and Beyond

During #HarvardClimateActionWeek join Connecting Genetics to Climate (an initiative based out of Dr. Ting Wu’s group in the Department of Genetics at Harvard Medical School) for an interactive online dialogue and overview of biotechnologies with climate applications with current and former Harvard researchers. Never heard of biotechnologies relevant to climate adaptation or mitigation? You’re not alone, this event is especially for you, and we want to gather the questions you have! Here are some examples of the non-human biotech we’ll be talking about, spanning fields of agriculture, manufacturing, and more. This event is hosted in collaboration with HACE. Register here.

Guest speakers are Harvard alumni or current staff:

  • Garrett Dunlap, PhD - Associate Director of Policy & International Engagement, Engineering Biology Research Consortium (EBRC)

  • Emily Stoler, PhD - Principal Scientist in Sustainable Materials, Co-lead Sustainable Futures Initiative, Wyss Institute for Biologically Inspired Engineering at Harvard
