Join a Committee.

 

Lend a Hand: HACE is a community built by and for alumni - and is entirely driven by the energy of community builders who want to create a lasting resource for alumni to learn, connect, and act together. Ready to take on a larger role in HACE? Current needs and opportunities are listed in the menu below.

  • Management committee members have an expected volunteer time commitment of 10 to 20 hours per month.

    Open positions:

    • Treasurer: The Treasurer is responsible for the HACE finances, budget, and financial reports. The Treasurer contributes to HACE strategy, operations, and management with the other Management Committee officers. More details are in the bylaws.

    • Development Director: HACE is now accepting donations. We need a founding development director to help us chart a course for strategic fundraising. This position will work closely with the Treasurer, Co-presidents, and other Management Committee officers.

    Careers & Mentorship Team:

    If you are invested in building the capacity of the HACE community to work in climate-related jobs, improving their job searching skills, and exploring ways to transfer knowledge and expertise among members, this role is for you. Help us identify and onboard mentors, recruit mentees, and organize and share quality mentorship opportunities.

    Skills needed: community building, knowledge exchange, event organization

    Estimated time commitment: 4-6 hours/month

  • We are always looking for members who can help with communication material development across Harvard channels and communities, the HACE monthly newsletter, member outreach, and HACE social media channels.

    Skills needed (strengths may vary between team members): expert social media users, avid tracker of events and news, super connectors, Mailchimp gurus

    Estimated time commitment: 2-4 hours/week
